At 1:00am Tuesday morning, Allie gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Reese Renae Wulfekuhle. She was 7lbs and 21 inches long.
After she was born, they discovered a small spot on her back they thought was spina bifida. They took Reese to Iowa City for surgery. After surgery it was discovered that the spot was just a benign tumor on the end of her spinal cord. They were able to take most of it off, but because it was on the spinal cord they could not get all of it. Allie and Brian made it to the hospital just as Reese was getting out of surgery. Reese will be in the NICU for at least 7 days and is currently doing great! She is eating and sleeping great! Pray for the Wulfekuhle family. Pray that they would find their strength in God and trust him with all things. And pray for a full and quick recovery for Reese.
On Wednesday night my mom and sister, Aimee, came to visit! They went to school with me on Thursday and had a blast! We made homemade ice cream, painted with chocolate pudding, celebrated a student's birthday and were exhausted after school! We went to Iowa City to visit the Wulfekuhle family. My mom and sister got to see Reese. After that we went out to eat at The Vine.
