Rite of Passage

In Iowa there is a summer time rite of passage that takes place around the beginning of July.

Sweet Corn.

There is almost nothing better than Iowa sweet corn. Fresh from the farm. I am drooling just thinking about it.

Last summer Mollie wasn't old enough to enjoy sweet corn, but this year we thought we would give it a shot. Since she is a vegetable hater, we weren't sure how it would go.

"You mean I am supposed to bite it? Like this?"

 "This is kind of fun!"

I think it is safe to say she enjoyed it!

Happy Summer!
