Oh Muskietown

Well, I felt like this just might be the best way to keep in touch with everyone out there ... spread out across the world ...

So I am home with strep and decided that creating a blog was the best use of my time :)

And update on life, we are learning to like Muscatine! We can officially say that we have come full circle since last year at this time. We are in a great Bible study and have made some great friends. We have gotten more involved in church, thus meeting more people, thus having a reason to like it here! We still miss our family and friends sooooooooo much, but we are now beginning to see why God has called us here.

Bret is working as an Engineer at GPC ... but has been working 12 hour nights 7 days a week because of a lock-out with the union there. So basically, my husband works about 86 hours a week, sleeps for 60 hours a week, goes to class for 3 hours a week, and I get whatever time is leftover :) But God is faithful and this won't last forever. I am just glad I have a husband who is such a hard worker!

I am still teaching Kindergarten!!! And I have a wonderful group of kids ... such an improvement from last year! They are fun and funny .. you can be expecting quite a few funny stories from them. I am also training to swim in a triathlon in January. (there are two other teachers doing the biking and running because I would rather break my leg than run or bike :) ) And I have recruited my friend Megan to do the swimming with me, so 5 times a week we swim anywhere from 1250 -2500 yards.

We are loving our house and have been doing some more updating over the past year. I have officially painted every room in the house :) And as Bret asked the other day "So are you ever going to be done decorating our house?" I smiled and replied "No!"
