We actually got to leave Muscatine!!!!

So Bret had been working days which was super nice because we got to have dinner together, go to Bible Study together, and sleep together more than just once a week :) But, he is going back to nights on Sunday :( But the good news is that he got Saturday off and we decided to go to Ames!

We went up Friday night so we could watch Miles' football game. (He is the quarterback for Ames High School and Bret's cousin) We got there in time to have some yummy chili at the Greenwald's with Michelle and Jill. Then we went out to the game and braved the super cold weather ... it is officially boot weather! Ames High won the game and Miles played awesome! Then we stopped by the Wulfekuhle's so that I could see Allie ... and meet Lucy (their puppy). But next weekend I will be able to spend much more time with Allie :) We spent the night at the Fischer's and woke up early on Saturday to head out to tailgate before the Iowa State-Nebraska game. Bret's friend bought a school bus and has totally remodeled it ... I mean couches, beds, and a bathroom inside ... tinted windows ... and sweet ISU paint job on the outside! And this week's tailgating specialty ........ a hot tub on a trailer pulled behind the bus to the tailgating lots to enjoy before and/or after the game. Check out the pictures! I just happened to leave my bathing suit at home, but Bret brought his :) It was great to see friends and be back in Ames. We also go to enjoy time with the Nichols family at their tailgate. Bret went to the game with the guys and I went to lunch with Laura Bazal. Then it was time to head home ... We met Crystal in Ankeny for dinner then headed back to Muscatine.
