Vacation!!!!

We spent the past week enjoying the sun, beach, and each other in Florida. It had been a crazy year and we wanted to celebrate our 2nd anniversary by going on vacation. So we planned a trip!

When we arrived at the airport there was a bomb threat that closed down half of the airport, rental car services, and transportation. So we got this sweet car ... because it was one of the only ones left ...

The first full day we spent on the beach was the 4th of July. It was awesome to watch the fireworks on the beach, as well as the fireworks of other beach goers.

We stayed in a condo right on the beach. Each morning Bret and I would wake up early and enjoy a nice long run or walk on the beach. During the day we would lay on our beach chairs and tan, read, walk along the beach, play frisbee or catch, or in this case ... build a sand castle!

We ate breakfast and lunch at our condo each day and went out to eat four of the nights we were there. Since we have the pleasure of eating delicious Euken beef whenever we want, we made sure to enjoy as much seafood as possible! Here Bret is enjoying his Alaskan King Crab.

Most evenings we would head out to the beach for the beautiful sunsets.

One night we were walking on the beach and spotted something scurrying along ...

It was a crab! We didn't have our camera with us at first, so Bret ran back to our room and I kept an eye on the crab so that we could catch a picture. These little guys are fast, I almost lost him once when Bret went back to get the camera!

We celebrated our 2nd anniversary when we were there. We went out to eat and then enjoyed a beautiful sunset while walking along the beach.

We had a blast together! We decided the next vacation was going to be a winter skiing trip!
