Last weekend we traveled to Texas for some family, football, and fun! We both left on Thursday afternoon .... but used very different modes of transportation. I flew from Moline to Dallas. Bret rode this ...
On Friday Danielle, Becca, my mom and I went to Canton to do some shopping. We enjoyed some foot long corn dogs ...
and some sweet sights ... yes this is a trailer behind a motorized scooter with a plastic chair for a friend
Friday evening we drove from Dallas to College Station ... home of Texas A&M University! We began our evening at the Dixie Chicken ...
Then we moved onto Daisy Dukes where it was time for ladies night (no cover for the ladies :) all three of us) and some dancing ...
After that we had to go to Midnight Yell Practice ... yes I stayed up that late! We headed back to the hotel around 1:30am because we had a big Saturday ahead of us. 7:30 cam bright and early!
That is where this man came into the picture, Jeff (maroon sweatshirt and hat). Texas A&M fans are THE nicest and most generous people on the planet. While at the Dixie Chicken the night before we met Jeff. He was thanking us for coming down and making the trip to see our team play. He asked us if we had a place to tailgate for the game and we told him we were just going to find a place in the morning. He told us to give him a call in the morning and he would have a spot for us. So we called in the morning and he told us where to go ... and we arrived at a lot right next to the stadium ... the one where the President of Texas A&M tailgates. He had an extra pass and wanted us to use it. What a guy! Here is our group and all the friends we made down there ...
We enjoyed the game ...

Sounds like you guys had a great time (besides the score). I was at the game with a friend too! Too bad I didn't run into you - though I did see the grouping of ISU fans you were sitting with. Where'd you go to church?
My brother and sister inlaw go to The Oaks in Red Oak so we went with them. Where do you guys live?
So fun! I love the scooter with the extra friend chair. ;)
We live around the intersection of highways 35 and 635 in NW Dallas. I don't know that we've ever made it as far south as Red Oak except in passing.
