This was sort of the beginning ... a CRAZY summer like 25 years ago ... where we celebrated your birthday with ice cream and hoarding our treats from home!
Then we graduated from college and lived in a tiny bedroom together ... before you got married ... and backed into my car :) ... but you got married and it was a blast!!!
Then I got married ... no car accidents this time :) just lots of dancing!
Then came football season!!!!!!!!!!!!! We made it through each year apart because we knew that fall would soon be here and we would see each other every other weekend for 3 months :)
Then you had Reese! I remember this day like it was yesterday. I remember the phone call from you early in the morning on May 19th. I remember sobbing after we got off the phone. I remember getting to school and telling my principal I had to get to Iowa City that afternoon to be with you. I remember coming to visit you about every other day :), being with you, laughing with you, crying with you, and holding your sweet gift from God. I remember learning so much about God and His faithfulness during that time. God used you, Brian, and Reese in a big way to teach me how to trust Him.
Then Reese got to tailgate!!!
There were lots of visits ...
Then I had Mollie ...
Then came Cade!
And hopefully someday there will be a wedding between these two cuties!!!
Which brings us to now ... I know there have been plenty of times where we both wished we lived closer. Maybe someday ... But for now I am going to choose thankfulness for the wonderful friend you are Allie! I have been blessed by our friendship more than you can ever know. Thank you for your words of encouragement, support, and blunt honesty when needed. I love how our lives are intertwined and I can't wait to see what the next 100 years brings! (yes, I am hoping we will live until we are 127 years old!) I love you Allie! (to infinity and beyond plus 1)

Oh. My. You should have warned me over the phone just now not to read this until tomorrow :) This emotional mom is sobbing right now...in thankfulness for you and who you have been and are in my life. You have been there for me through so much, and continue to even though we are so far away. And I am currently surviving knowing that you and Mollie will still come every fall! :) SO THANKFUL for you!! LOVE YOU to infinity and eternity (umm...you forgot that part) and beyond plus 1 :)
P.S. Cade won't date anyone who has a sweeter mohawk than him, so could you cut Mollie's hair until Cade's starts growing? So like for two years? :)
